Ragnarok

Summary

Ragnarok was an AR app game project with three other students. We worked for about two months on the project from start to finish. There were no guidelines other than an AR or VR project. We started by coming up with a stack of ideas, eventually landing on Norse Mythology. We took popular characters from the Norse mythos including Loki, Thor, Freya, and even creatures from other known stories. The game was a pretty simple card duel, where players could choose their card set at the beginning of the game and then strategically position and play their cards where the character would form out of it.

Concepts

The first concepts I came up with personally were that of the giant wolf, Fenrir. Because the style we had chosen for the models would be geometric in the manner I decided to make him bulky and have spiked fur. Another character I was tasked with was Sleipnir, an eight-legged horse. His model also turned out quite bulky.
